I learned more from reading your book in a week than I did from going to college for four years for that MBA.

As an MBA graduate, I'm very happy I happened to stumble across your book at the store.  I learned more from reading your book in a week than I did from going to college for four years for that MBA... when I applied Rule #1 last November, I was amazed with the results. Your book is priceless - I wish more people would take the time to read and understand Rule #1...

...I simply follow Rule #1.  I take about 5 minutes each night to review the charts for a particular stock once they meet all of the criteria for Rule #1.  I watch about 9 stocks and usually only invest in 2 or 3 at any given time.  (As an engineer who likes Excel and charts, I've created a five year plan to reach $1,000,000.00 so it'll be interesting to compare my results over the next few years to the glide path I've created for myself.)

Thanks for writing that book and I look forward to your new book coming out in February, 2010.

Thanks to you, I'm ahead this year.

Phil, thanks for all of the encouraging talk. Thanks to you, I'm ahead this year. I liquidated all of my mutual funds in December and January after reading your book. This year I have moved into and out of my watch list companies, with more than 100 trades on the year. For a while I was 100% in equities, and then 100% in cash, now 90% cash and picking up some bargains tonight. I've avoided the fall, just as you described your experience a few years ago. Thanks for explaining sticker, the stick, and the tools.

Who would care enough to share the secret of investing to us small tiny guys, and to write in a manner that we understand? You even show us the lines, where to find what, patiently!

Who would build a blog so that anyone can learn? For free.

Who would walk extra extra miles to set up MOS calculators, tell us how to track industry trend at free sites. ……… ?

Who would take time to answer emails from small guys? They are not just answers, but words of gold.

Who would care enough to tell us to control our own financial destiny?

Who would risk upsetting the fund management community and have our (small tiny guy) best interest in mind? 

You are sharing with us your wealth of knowledge and expertise; giving us your time (and therefore life) to small guys the world over – with heart, soul and humanity.

I have given your book as a gift to my brothers and sisters and friends. Personally, I have two: one as a reading copy, and the other as a treasure to keep. And of course, I am not going to tear off the plastic wrap.

I'm using The Rule with my 401K plan.

Phil,

I'm using The Rule with my 401K plan at work.  Last year with the help of YAHOO and Investools my account was up 27 percent and on December 5, 2007 I put all of it in a cash management account.  Everyone at work lost what little bit they made last year and then some in one month. Back in the game on March 5th, 2008. Thanks again...

Doing what you say in your book... brought me returns that I thought only the experts could maintain.

Looking forward to your new projects. I've been following you now for nearly a year. Doing what you say in your book and using the investools method have brought me returns that I thought only the experts could maintain. I now can do it knowing the value of risk vs. reward and overcoming the psychology of the market. Trade with the trend and the three green arrows and you are destined for greatness. I appreciate all of your guidance and your giveback to the beginner investor. I hope to see more of the "rebel" investor on CNBC. Your appearance on the Millionaire inside was my "aha!" moment. I am really starting to "get it".

Dear Phil,

I just want to say thank you for writing it [Rule #1]. I saw you three years ago and you were the only speaker who got me to start thinking about investing outside of a 401k. Then I saw you again last year and was thrilled that you wrote a book.

People have always told me not to invest because I dont understand it. (My male friends have always told me that. So far, most of them have lost alot of money so apparantly they dont understand it either)

I am taking everything you said, wrote and your podcasts and absorbing it like a sponge while I build cash in my savings accounts, Just waiting for the right time to buy my first business. It is all coming together now. I am really starting to "get it".

No other person has ever explained this to me in the same simple manner. You seem like a really good guy so please dont ever stop teaching me until I have made my millions too.

Your MACD and Stochastic charts with the 10 day Moving Average just saved me $2,000.

Your MACD and Stochastic charts with the 10 day moving average just saved me $2,000.

Normally I would have held on forever, but after applying the MACD chart to all of my holdings, I saw the buy line cross under the sell line and I sold. The stock has since drifted down to the mid twenties. I won't be buying back in, but I thank my lucky stars I read your book.
